No one ever knew his name —perhaps not even he did— but as generations passed, they came to call him Fumetsu, for they believed he could not die.
One starless night, he deceived the moon with ancient words and trapped her inside a cage of dry branches and chains.
Since then, he carries her wherever he goes —a small moon that grows, breathes, and dreams, suspended between punishment and companionship.
